Vallalār was a contemporary of Karl Marx. (He was born in 1823.) And since he was able to know all that happened in the world from his own place, he might have known about the release of the ‘Communist Manifesto’ by Marx and Engels in 1848. So he decided to publish its sequel ‘The Immortalist Manifesto’ and wrote it elaborately in verse form and prose. To portray it, in the form of architecture so that even the illiterate would know it, he built a ‘Hall of Gnosis’ (Gnana Sabhai, he called it- not a regular Hindu temple) at Vadalur. His philosophy and science were rendered in the form of an architectural building.
Never before was given to the world such a scientific scheme of immortality and divinity with all the details needed by the homo sapiens to be transformed into homo deus.
